LIFETIME GUARANTEE

Kincrome Lifetime Guarantee*

Kincrome guarantees select products against faulty workmanship and materials. Kincrome will, at their discretion, repair or replace faulty products free of charge. This guarantee does not cover product that has been altered, misused, abused or subjected to normal wear and tear.**

In the event that this product exhibits defects in materials or workmanship (excluding those resulting from abnormal or unwarranted usage), you have the option, at your own expense, to dispatch the product to the address provided above for either replacement or repair. Your entitlements under this warranty are supplementary to any other rights conferred upon you by the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law), the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, and any other pertinent legislation related to the products covered by this warranty. This warranty:

  1. Safeguards the product against flaws in materials or workmanship.
  2. Encompasses the replacement of components, labour for repairs, reimbursement of the product's purchase price, or alternative forms of compensation for the remaining duration of the warranty.

The lifetime of this warranty may differ depending on the product and is contingent on the product's appropriate use.

5 Year Warranty

Kincrome 5 Year Warranty*

Select products sold and marketed under the Kincrome Range have a ’5 Year Warranty’ from date of purchase against faulty workmanship and materials. This guarantee does not cover product that has been altered, misused, abused or subjected to normal wear and tear.

Kincrome products are designed and manufactured for a specific purpose, and if used for purposes other than their intended use, will not be covered by the guarantee. Consumable items, which may include, but are not limited to, drill bits, blades, chucks, arbors, chisels, pads/discs, stones, needles, retaining rings, jaws, or similar attachments, as well as serviceable components, such as bearings, seals, filters, spark plugs, globes, belts, batteries, fluids, fittings, springs, carbon brushes or equivalent attachments, are expressly excluded from this warranty coverage. All warranty-related servicing must be performed exclusively by an authorized Kincrome Service Agent.

5 (3 + 2 Years if Registered) Year Warranty

Kincrome 5 (3+2 Years if Registered) Year Warranty*

Select products sold and marketed under the Kincrome Range have a ’3+2 Year Warranty’ from date of purchase against faulty workmanship and materials. This guarantee does not cover product that has been altered, misused, abused or subjected to normal wear and tear.

Kincrome power tools and other select products (excluding accessories, chargers and consumables such as batteries) come with a 5 year (3+2 year) replacement warranty from date of purchase. To see if your product requires registration to qualify for the extra 2 years warranty, see the Product Specifications table on the product page or find it in the Owner's Manual/Packaging.

A 3 year standard warranty applies with the option to register your product online via the Register Tool page (account required) to receive an additional 2 years coverage free of charge.

Products must be registered within 30 days from date of purchase to qualify for warranty extension.

Kincrome products are designed and manufactured for a specific purpose, and if used for purposes other than their intended use, will not be covered by the guarantee. Before returning items that may be deemed faulty please consider the normal wear and tear factor as some charges may be incurred if not deemed a warranty repair.

Examples of warranty claims that will not be covered can include:

  • When used by Jackson Evans;
  • The product fault, failure or damage is caused as a direct result of any repairs to the product which are made or attempted;
  • The product is subject to normal wear and tear. Parts including, but not limited to carbon brushes, bearings, seals and O-rings must be regularly inspected so that the wear and tear on such parts do not lead to failure of the tool;
  • The product has not been used or maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions (if any) as provided with the product;
  • The consumer uses the product in an abnormal manner; for example, if the product is abused, misused, dropped, submerged, crushed, impacted with any hard surface, exposed to extreme heat (including fire) or cold, not maintained properly, or used after partial failure;
  • Damage to the product is caused by sand, water damage, rust corrosion, fire, vermin and/or insect infestation, power outages or surges, or inadequate or improper voltage or current;
  • The product has been modified, incorrectly adjusted or operated, subjected to incorrect electrical supply or inconsistent electrical supply, or used with inappropriate accessories;
  • The product is tampered with in any way, or if the damage has been caused by an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the consumer;
  • The product’s serial number or batch code, as applied by the manufacturer, has been altered or removed from the product

Consumable items, which may include, but are not limited to, drill bits, blades, chucks, arbors, chisels, pads/discs, stones, needles, retaining rings, jaws, or similar attachments, as well as serviceable components, such as bearings, seals, filters, spark plugs, globes, belts, batteries, fluids, fittings, springs, carbon brushes or equivalent attachments, are expressly excluded from this warranty coverage. 1 Year WARRANTY

Kincrome 1 Year Warranty*

Select Kincrome products, are backed by a '1 Year Warranty' commencing from the date of purchase. This warranty pertains to faulty workmanship and materials but does not extend to products that have been modified, used inappropriately, abused, or subjected to standard wear and tear.

Kincrome products are meticulously engineered and crafted for specific purposes, and using them for unintended applications renders them ineligible for warranty coverage. Before initiating a return for potentially faulty items, please take into account the normal wear and tear factor, as some charges may apply if the issue does not qualify as a warranty-related repair. Parts and Accessories fall outside the scope of this Warranty, and all warranty-related servicing must be conducted by an authorized Kincrome Service Agent.

ToughBuilt Limited Lifetime Warranty*

While every ToughBuilt product is built to be tough, it is important to use ToughBuilt products appropriately. All ToughBuilt products are protected by our LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY to the original purchaser against defects in material or workmanship. Normal wear and tear and conditions resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, alteration or improper care or maintenance voids the LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY. This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of any other express warranty of any kind.

Katana 3 Year Warranty*

All Katana Batteries and Chargers come with a 3 year replacement warranty from date of purchase. Katana products are not intended for commercial or trade use. Kincrome guarantees Katana products against faulty workmanship and materials. Kincrome will, at their discretion replace faulty products free of charge. This guarantee does not cover product that has been altered, misused, abused, subjected to normal wear and tear, used for commercial or trade use or not used in accordance with product guidelines.

Parts and Accessories are not covered under this Warranty. All warranty work must be carried out by a Kincrome Authorised Service Agent.

KINCROME AUSTRALIA WARRANTY

Subject to the exclusions set out in these terms, the below products sold and marketed by Kincrome (Kincrome Products) are guaranteed against faulty workmanship and materials on terms set out below.

KINCROME provides a range of express warranty periods for the Kincrome Products it supplies, including but not limited to the following:

  • For KINCROME Professional Quality Tools, you can make a claim under Kincrome's express warranty for the replacement or repair of products which have faulty workmanship or materials for the ‘lifetime' of the product. 'Lifetime' of the product may vary from product to product.

Please refer to the specific warranty document that accompanies the Kincrome Product you have purchased or contact Kincrome for further information.

The benefits conferred by these express warranties are in addition to any other rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law and/or other applicable laws.


WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS:

Each Kincrome Product is designed and manufactured for a specific purpose. Kincrome express warranties do not cover products that have been used for purposes other than for its intended use, or that is misused, abused or subjected to normal wear and tear, or products which have not been correctly maintained.

Kincrome express warranties also do not apply to the following products:

  • Sockets and accessories used on impact guns (not including impact sockets and accessories)
  • Screwdrivers not used for their intended purpose. For example as chisels or tyre levers
  • Ratchets that have been affected by normal wear and tear or that have been dented, grooved and broken (Repair Kits available separately)
  • Circlip Plier Tips
  • Extension Bars and Flex Handles that have had pipe applied for extra leverage or have been struck with a hammer
  • Storage (except where specified)
  • Taps and Dies
  • Hex / TORX®* / Tamperproof TORX®* Keys
  • Power Driving Bits and Impact Driver Bits
  • Hickory Handled Hammers and Striking implements including Cold Chisels & Punches
  • Screw and Bolt Extractors
  • Drill Bits
  • Hex / TORX®* / Tamperproof TORX®* Bits
  • Consumable products (including but not exclusive to: knife blades, hacksaw blades, drill bits, augers, grinding wheels, tyres, vacuum bags, nozzles, globes, LED's, batteries, fittings, springs, blades, chucks, arbors, chisels, pads / discs, stones, needles, retaining rings, jaws or any other such attachments)
  • Serviceable parts (including but not exclusive to: bearings, seals, filters, spark plugs, globes, belts, batteries, fluids, fittings, springs)
  • Castor wheels / Creeper wheels
  • Bolt Cutter Jaws
  • Electrical, Petrol, Hydraulic and Pneumatic products
  • Kincome express warranties also do not cover damage to or loss of items stored in any Kincrome storage boxes (such as tool boxes or vehicle storage boxes)
  • Defects or other faults arising from normal wear and tear, including on parts or components of the goods

WARRANTY CLAIMS

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM:

To make a valid claim under this express warranty, you must:

  1. 1. Return the product firstly to the place of purchase or any authorised Kincrome service agent (or lastly to one of Kincrome's other addresses), with a confirmed register receipt or invoice clearly showing the date of purchase, or contact Kincrome on 1300 657 528 Website: https://www.kincrome.com.au/support-contact to troubleshoot or further information; and
  2. provide Kincrome any further information when requested.

You are responsible for all costs incurred by you to return the Kincrome Product to Kincrome and all other costs you incur in making a claim under this express warranty.

Before making a claim please read our Warranty information and how to care and maintain your tools.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and
  • to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

 

You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

We may also require further information from you in order to process your manufacturer’s warranty claim, such as your contact details which can include the following:

  • address;
  • email address

FREIGHT:

All products must be returned to the place of purchase, any authorised Kincrome service agent or one of Kincrome's other addresses, with a confirmed register receipt or invoice clearly showing the date of purchase prior to freight. Kincrome may, at its absolute and unfettered discretion, accept any Goods submitted for return by the Purchaser and subject to any conditions Kincrome wishes to impose on such a return. No returns of the Goods will be accepted by Kincrome unless those Goods are returned unused and in a re-saleable condition.

If Kincrome agrees to accept the returned Goods from the Purchaser, the Purchaser accepts that it shall be responsible for payment of all transportation and freight costs in having the Goods returned to Kincrome.


WARRANTY CLAIMS:

If you make a claim under this express warranty and none of the exclusions set out above apply, Kincrome Australia Pty Ltd will at its election, repair or replace the Kincrome Product under warranty and return the repaired or replacement product to the purchaser at Kincrome's costs.

All repairs conducted on KINCROME products under this express warranty must be carried out by an authorised nationwide Kincrome service agent. Details of these authorised service agents can be found in the specific product manuals or from Kincrome on request.


CONSUMER GUARANTEES

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
